Meet Emily

Emily earned her BS in Business and Economics from Lehigh University and her MA in Education, with a concentration as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities, from the College of Saint Elizabeth. Prior to her current school, Emily taught grades K-6 at a charter school in New Jersey, spending a majority of her time in second and third grade. In 2017, she joined her current team as the Fifth Grade Math and Science teacher. Emily’s love of learning started as a child during her time at Kent Place School.

Her most gratifying moments come from:

creating a student-centered environment
finding impactful and new teaching methods to meet individual needs
helping her students build reliable “roadmaps” for success in their current grade and beyond

Nine + years of experience teaching elementary through sixth grade level in a New Jersey charter school and a New York City private school
Highly knowledgable and experienced with Common Core State Standards
Received Highly Effective Teacher Rating for numerous academic years and a nomination for Teacher of the Year
Proficient with remote teaching and distance learning activities
M.Ed. with a concentration in Special Education
